Mimi Roger's Poker History
Mimi Rogers is one of those actresses who, though she may never have achieved huge mainstream success, her body of work speaks for itself. She has had roles in classic movies like "Someone to Watch Over Me" and "The Mighty Quinn," and she's also starred in the big-budget movies like "Lost in Space" and "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery."
And she's not a stranger to the poker world. Her father was an avid poker player and when she was still a kid he taught her to play, and even took her to the blackjack tables in Tahoe when she was 15. Apparently it doesn't hurt being a woman, either. “Sometimes,” she says, “when guys play against a woman, they just refuse to believe you know what you're doing… so I actually can make money that way.” She’s not kidding, either: though she didn't make it to the Celebrity Poker Showdown final table, she once won $900,000 in a single poker game!
