Bluff Magazine Online Poker Tour

Bluff Poker Tour Bluff Magazine, the world's leading poker publication, announced the launch of the online Bluff Poker Tour (BPT). The Bluff Poker Tour is an online poker tour that will stop at one online poker room weekly, and there will be an online poker tournament at the poker room.

The Bluff Poker Tour will operate in the following manner: every week there will be an online poker No Limit Texas Hold'em tournament at an Official Bluff Poker Tour online poker room. The registered players will earn poker player points, similar to the World Poker Tour, and will be ranked at the end of the online Bluff Poker Tour. The highest ranked players, most poker player points, at the end of the Bluff Poker Tour, will play in a championship tournament whereby the winner will earn a paid spot into three World Poker Tour tournaments. The Bluff Poker Tour also allows players a chance to compete with professional poker players like tour host, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, who will be playing in many of the upcoming Bluff Poker Tour tournaments. Players who go head to head with Mizrachi have a chance to win an additional bounty should they be lucky or skillful to beat "The Grinder".

The Bluff Poker Tour commences on June 2, 2005 at PokerRoom. The Bluff Poker Tour will stop at HollywoodPoker.com on July 6, 2005 and again on September 29, 2005.

"More people play poker online then they do in Las Vegas and California combined," said Jeff Markley, VP of Online Operations for Bluff Media. "With the Bluff Poker Tour, we've tapped into the venues that they play at most and arranged a unique mix of virtual poker combined with the tangible anchor of America's favorite poker magazine."

"The number of poker tournaments going on each and every night throughout the hundreds of online poker venues is staggering," said Jeff Markley, VP of Online Operations for Bluff Media. "Some of the same players are winning these tournaments on a regular basis. It seemed second nature to create a medium which allows the best of the best from all of the different sites to match skills against one another."

"It is our goal to change the life and profession of the best online poker player," said Jeff. "There's no reason an individual playing at that caliber shouldn't be butting heads with the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey or even Doyle Brunson. By placing the winner of our online tour into three World Poker Tour events, we will give them the opportunity to prove their poker prowess."
