Californian Casino can keep it's doors open

Nevada County's poker players can rest easy today, after a recent legal scare to an establishment there. The only legal gambling facility in Nevada County, California is the Gold Rush Casino and Gaming Parlor, and now it can keep its doors open, according to a Thursday afternoon ruling by the California Gambling Control Commission. Grass Valley resident and club owner Sue Barrows was temporarily forced to shut her doors and then put on four-month probation for failing to file paperwork on time in September 2005, which Barrows said was an error.
