While the current poker craze might have started in the USA, it appears that countries which have more lenient gambling laws are cashing in on the industry. Britain is one of these countries. In 2005 three companies floated publicly on the London stock market after the industry had raked in over one billion Pounds.

PartyGaming is at the forefront of this revolution in Britain, with five hundred million Pounds in revenue. PartyGaming?s chief executive Richard Segal is excited about the whole concept of his company. He commented how his company had invented nothing new, just found ways to take tried and true games like poker and put them in people?s homes and even on their mobile phone... to take with them on the go.

Britain and other countries around the world stand to make a fair profit during the holiday season as poker becomes one of hot ticket items, including here in the USA.
